Butterfly & Bee Garden Evening

Join us for a fun and informative evening where we will discuss how you can establish a butterfly garden in your garden or school. This will be a great evening and is a must-attend event for gardeners and teachers that would like to enhance their school gardens and have an area dedicated to attracting bees and butterflies or simply want to know more about raising Monarch butterflies at home or in the classroom.

This event a gold coin donation, which will go towards Avebury House and their community gardens.

We will have special guest speakers, including

Introduction – Hayley Guglitta from the Richmond Community Garden Trust

Helen English, Vice President of the Christchurch Hobbyist Beekeepers’ Club

Cathy Baker – Founder of Guardians of Rawihiti Domain. Cathy will talk about the decline of wildlife in the Domain and how we can all help make it thrive again.

Maria Romero, from the Butterfly Musketeers.

Spot prizes from Mitre10 and Yates NZ on the night.

A chance to purchase signed copies of the brand new 2nd edition of “An educatational guide on Monarch butterflies” book on the night.

There will be a chance to ask us all many questions and meet other keen gardeners in your local area.
